Maristan Healing
Our Therapy Services and Fees

Maristan Healing offers faith-honouring, culturally sensitive care across psychology and health. If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s completely okay — we’ll help you find the right fit.

How Our Fees Work

Fees vary depending on the clinician, appointment type, and department.

Fees for talking therapy can range from £75–£150.

Fees for health and wellbeing appointments will be confirmed once we’ve matched you to the right practitioner and appointment type.

What you can expect

Because each clinician sets their own fee based on their training, experience, and the type of support they offer (for example, therapy, couples work, or trauma-focused work), as well as practical costs (for example, room hire). Once we’ve read your enquiry and matched you to the right clinician, we’ll confirm the exact total in writing before you book — so you can decide with clarity and no pressure.

If budget is a concern, you’re welcome to mention this on the enquiry form and we’ll do our best to guide you to the most suitable option available.

FAQs

Will you tell me the cost before I book?

Yes. We’ll always confirm the exact total in writing before you book.

Will I be pressured to continue after the first appointment?

No. The first appointment is about clarity and fit. If ongoing sessions are recommended, you’ll be guided clearly — and you’re always in control of the pace.

Do you offer online or in-person appointments?

Online appointments are available. If in-person appointments are available, we’ll confirm locations and options when we match you.

Do I need a GP referral?

No — you can enquire directly using the form.

How soon can I be seen?

Availability varies by clinician. Once we’ve reviewed your enquiry, we’ll share the next available options.

How do I pay?

We’ll share payment details when confirming your booking.

What if I’m in crisis or need urgent help?

Maristan Healing is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, call 999 or go to A&E. If you can, contact your GP or local urgent mental health support services.

Do you only work with Muslim clients?

We welcome clients of all backgrounds, and we have specialist experience supporting Muslim clients.

Are there limits to confidentiality?

In rare situations involving serious risk of harm, we may need to share information to keep you or others safe. We handle this as transparently and sensitively as possible.

What am I paying for in therapy?

A confidential, structured process with a trained clinician—using evidence-based techniques (where appropriate)—focused on insight, change, and practical next steps, not just talking.

What do you mean by “holistic” support?

By holistic, we mean a joined-up, practical approach that connects what’s happening in your body, your stress load, and your day-to-day life.

In a health and wellbeing appointment we typically:

  • Take a detailed history (symptoms, timeline, triggers, constitution and overall pattern, medical background, current medications/supplements, lifestyle and stress)
  • Identify likely contributing factors and patterns
  • Agree a clear plan with practical next steps (for example nutrition and routine changes, stress support, pacing, sleep support, and other relevant wellbeing strategies)
  • Explain what to focus on first and what “progress” should look like

Holistic support is not a substitute for medical care. We work alongside appropriate NHS/GP care, and we’ll signpost you to medical support if symptoms need assessment, monitoring, or urgent attention.

Do appointment lengths vary?

Yes. Appointment length can vary depending on the department and what you’re booking. We’ll confirm the appointment length and the fee when we confirm your booking.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged, and missed appointments may be charged in full.

Ready to take the first step?

About Our Therapy Practice

pexels-japy-1598546

Maristan Healing was born from a simple but powerful truth: many in our communities struggle to find mental, emotional, and spiritual care that truly honors their identity, faith, and lived experience.

Inspired by the legacy of the historic maristan—compassionate hospitals in the Islamic world where healing addressed mind, body, and spirit together—we set out to revive this holistic tradition for today. Our founder saw the pain of isolation, stigma, and cultural disconnect firsthand, and dreamed of a safe, welcoming place where professional expertise and faith could unite.

Our story is your story: a journey toward wellness that celebrates your whole self. Together, we break barriers and revive a legacy of healing—so you and our communities can truly thrive.

Concerns We Commonly Support

People often seek support when symptoms are affecting daily life — emotionally, psychologically, and physically.

At Maristan Healing, we provide confidential, faith- and culture-sensitive care that considers the whole picture, including the ways stress and trauma can affect the nervous system and the body.

Psychological and emotional concerns we commonly support include anxiety, panic symptoms, overwhelm and burnout, low mood, grief and loss, marital and parenting concerns, trauma symptoms (including feeling “stuck”), difficulty regulating emotions, relationship and family stress, and challenges with self-esteem, boundaries, and people-pleasing.

Physical concerns we commonly support alongside wellbeing include fatigue, sleep disruption, digestive discomfort (including reflux/heartburn), headaches/migraines, brain fog and concentration difficulties, appetite changes, and persistent tension in the body.

We also have experience supporting clients managing wider health concerns alongside mental wellbeing, including blood sugar concerns, high blood pressure and cardiovascular health, joint pain and inflammation, and women’s health concerns across life stages.

If you’re not sure where to begin, start with a confidential enquiry and we’ll guide you to an appropriate next step.

How It Works

01

Initial Contact

Fill in the confidential online enquiry form (2–4 minutes) and submit. You’ll receive a warm, confidential welcome and guidance on next steps, including what to expect and when you’ll hear back.

We aim to respond within 48 hours (working days). If we’re not the right fit, we’ll do our best to point you towards an appropriate alternative.

02

Intake & Discovery

You will complete a culturally sensitive assessment presenting symptoms, wellness goals, faith context, lifestyle and personal concerns.

We will then match you to the right clinician/department based on needs and availability.

03

Onboarding

We’ll send you the information you need to get started (including payment details and policies), and we’ll confirm the most appropriate clinician and availability based on your needs.

We’ll guide you through the next step so you’re not left guessing what to do. Our aim is to make the transition from “enquiry” to “first appointment” feel straightforward, confidential, and well supported.

04

Collaborate, Review & Adapt

Practitioner and client co-develop an individualised care plan.

Care plans set clear, practical goals and outline recommended services, frequency, and steps.

Regular reviews track progress toward goals. Practitioners adjust the plan as needed: adding new services, shifting approaches, or providing extra support.
